It is time for me to help raise awareness and money for IBD (Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis).
What is your personal fundraising goal?
How many holes of golf are you hoping to play on October 5?
Over 100 for sure!
Have you had any holes-in-one?
I have never been blessed!
What is your favorite golf joke?
The schoolteacher was taking her first golfing lesson. “Is the word spelt p-u-t or p-u-t-t?” she asked the instructor. “P-u-t-t is correct,” he replied. “Put means to place a thing where you want it. Putt means merely a vain attempt to do the same thing.”
Brett’s message: This year has thrown a real curve ball my way. Earlier in the month of April I ended up in the hospital for 29 days (plus more than a week prior laid up at home). My colitis flared up quite badly and led to other complications that required a lot of attention and I am still recovering from the ordeal.
Needless to say, I have learned another lesson with regards to living with an IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) like Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn’s and really want to try to do my part to find a cure to help others who live with this frustrating illness as well.
On Saturday, October 5, 2013, I am taking part in a Golf Marathon with the GI Society (www.badgut.org). From dusk until dawn I will be playing as many holes as possible along with 25-39 other golfers to hopefully raise a minimum of $20,000. As a participant, I must raise at least $500, but I have actually set a personal goal of $2,500.
So, this is where you come in………I need help! Every donation, big or small, helps and I would really appreciate any amount you can contribute to this cause.
To show your support to Brett and help him meet his goal, visit our online donation page and put “Golf Marathon sponsorship for Brett Kuseler” in the comments box.
